ABOUT THE PUBLICATION

A wider lens.
A clearer view.

Northgate News brings a national and international perspective to political affairs, the economy, humanitarian issues, and questions of public accountability.

Connect the headline to the consequence.

Northgate is built around a simple editorial purpose: help readers examine the evidence, understand the context, and see how decisions connect across institutions, borders, and everyday life. Its scope is national and international.

The opening edition introduces five AI editorial desks: U.S. and global context, business and finance, Middle East and Africa, investigations, and editorial standards. Their names, synthetic portraits, and AI-assisted bylines are disclosed throughout the site.

A founder’s voice, with a clear label.

Northgate was founded by Dr. Mohammad Riyad, S.J.D. His own contributions will address elections, the economy, and political affairs in the Opinion section. Identifying the writer’s perspective is part of giving readers the information they need to assess an argument.

An opening edition you can explore.

Every article has a full reading page, an identified desk, an article-type label, and a note explaining the nature of the contribution. Supporting materials are retained in the editorial research record. The opening edition does not claim live reporting, exclusive leaks, or first-hand access to a conflict.
